Friday, February 23rd

RWDM will host OH Leuven on Saturday, February 24th, shortly after noon. These two teams are also trying to move out of or remain out of the relegation zone. For RWDM, it may not happen with just one match, but three points would already put them on the right track. OH Leuven could also use those points, or they will likely be overtaken and sink into the danger zone.
In the Bundesliga, we have a top fixture between two high-placed teams. Bayern Munich is currently in second place, four points ahead of Stuttgart but also eight points behind Bayer Leverkusen. The Rekordmeister surprisingly lost to Bochum, who are only in 11th place, on Sunday, February 18th. Nevertheless, their striker Harry Kane has already scored 25 goals. And in England, action continues: Second-placed Arsenal will face Newcastle on Saturday. The latter experienced a slight dip at the end of 2023 but has been getting good results in recent weeks. Newcastle is currently in 8th place with 37 points, just one point behind Brighton. Arsenal could take the lead after this matchday if Liverpool fails to win against Luton Town on Wednesday. Arsenal also has another match in the Champions League on Wednesday. They will face FC Porto in the round of 16.
Sunday, February 25th
Once again in the Jupiler Pro League, Club Brugge and Anderlecht will face each other on Sunday, February 25th. These two teams are currently in second and third place in Belgium, so these matches are directly important for the title race. However, it’s practically impossible for both teams to catch up with leader Union. However, that doesn’t mean there is no talent in these teams. This is evidenced by the transfer of Igor Thiago for a record amount of 37 million. And Anderlecht also has some top players like Kasper Dolberg, Thorgan Hazard, and Jan Vertonghen.
The Carabao Cup final will be one between Liverpool and Chelsea FC. The latter is doing slightly less well this year, and is only 10th in the Premier League. Liverpool, on the other hand, is doing very well, sitting in first place with only one loss in their last five matches. This is mainly thanks to goal-scoring machine Mohamed Salah, who has already scored 15 goals. And Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez, who have each scored 9 goals, have also contributed to this success.
To conclude this list, let’s look at the match between AC Milan and Atalanta in Serie A. AC Milan is in third place, two points behind Juventus, and could immediately move up a spot after this week. Of course, they also have to count on Juventus losing to Frosinone.
